PX Scientific Goods supplies laboratory glassware, consumables and benchtop equipment to research groups, teaching laboratories, quality-control benches and light industrial users across the United States. We are a stocking distributor: we hold the items we list, we ship them from our own inventory, and we answer the phone when something is wrong with an order.
Why we started
The company began with a straightforward frustration. Laboratory purchasing is dominated by very large catalogues where a $40 flask arrives three weeks late, the substitution policy is buried on page nine, and nobody can tell you whether the item on your bench is the item you ordered. Small labs absorb that cost quietly — in delayed experiments, in re-ordered consumables, in a technician spending an afternoon on the telephone.
We set out to run the opposite kind of business. A tighter catalogue, chosen rather than aggregated. Honest stock figures. A dispatch commitment we actually meet. And a written answer when you ask a specification question, so that the answer is on the record rather than in somebody’s memory.
How we choose what to stock
Every line is selected against three tests. Does it meet a recognised standard for its class — ISO 3585 and ASTM E438 for borosilicate, USP <660> for Type I containers, ISO 8655 for volumetric devices? Is it repeatable, so that the item you buy this quarter matches the one you bought last quarter? And is it priced so that a small laboratory can standardise on it rather than buying whatever is cheapest that month?
If a product cannot pass all three, we do not list it. That is why our catalogue is deliberately smaller than the giants’ and why we can tell you what is actually in the box.

We operate from 11 Douglas Ave, Suite 253 #1184, Elgin, IL 60120. Orders are picked and dispatched on business days, and our team is reachable at support@pxscientificgoods.store during Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Central Time.
How we work with you
Most of our customers are ordering against a protocol, a grant line or a maintenance schedule, so predictability matters more than novelty. We keep specifications on file, we tell you when a manufacturer changes one, and we will quote a standing order so that a consumable you go through every month arrives without anyone having to remember to buy it.
If you need a specification we do not list, ask. We would rather confirm availability and a lead time in writing than have you order something approximate and discover the difference at the bench.
What we are not
We supply general laboratory equipment and consumables. We do not manufacture, compound, formulate or supply pharmaceuticals, controlled substances or clinical diagnostics, and nothing we sell is intended for human or veterinary therapeutic use. If your application needs a certified reference material or a regulated device, we will tell you plainly that we are not the right supplier rather than sell you something adjacent.
